Strange Days: Movie Review from the Ray Taylor Show

Ray TaylorComment

In this episode Ray reviews the movie "Strange Days”. "Strange Days" is a cyberpunk thriller film set in the last two days of 1999, in a dangerous and war-torn Los Angeles. The film follows the story of Lenny Nero, a black marketeer of recordings that allow a user to experience the recorder's memories and physical sensations, as he uncovers the truth behind the murder of a prostitute. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, written by James Cameron and Jay Cocks and starring Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, Juliette Lewis, and Tom Sizemore, the film blends science fiction and film noir conventions, exploring themes of racism, power abuse, rape, and voyeurism.
